Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to manage his/her medications. From February 15, 2022, to February 24, 2022, AV was not given several doses of his/her scheduled medication as it was unavailable, which caused AV to have side effects, which resulted in his/her condition to decline. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure AV’s medication was available to be administered as ordered. The failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00491 $250.00 fine assessed
