Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) service plan indicates 2 persons for transferring, one on each side of h/h using a gait belt. Facility is using a Hoyer lift sling to transfer AV, resulting in bruising on right side of perineal area. The facility failed to properly plan care for use of Hoyer lift, and failed to train staff using Hoyer Lift, which is a violation of resident rights is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP22-01168 $500.00 fine assessed
