Findings: On or about March 30, 2022, the Alleged Victim (AV) experienced a fall in h/h bathroom and used his/her pendant to call for assistance. Facility staff, who was covering in AV’s area from another wing, did not have the correct device to be alerted to AV’s call light. AV was on the floor for approximately 60 minutes waiting for assistance. The facility had no clear process in place for staff to ensure necessary devices for each service area are being monitored. The facility’s failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-01043 $250.00 fine assessed
