Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure the AV's medication was administered as ordered. The failure resulted in AV going approximately 5 days prior to hospitalization and approximately 3 days after, without his/her blood sugar medication, placing him/her at risk of serious harm, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
