Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medication. On or about March 15, 2022, one of AV’s medications were discontinued, after AV only received one (1) dose of a new medication card. The Alleged Perpetrator #2 (AP2) told multiple facility staff and wrote on top of AV’s medication card to give AV’s medication to W1, if needed. There were approximately three (3) additional doses of AV’s medication missing. AP2’s actions are a violation of resident rights and constitute financial exploitation. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP22-01579 $300.00 fine assessed
