Findings: On or about May 16, 2022, the Alleged Victim (AV) requested his/her as needed narcotic medication. The facility had given AV his/her last as needed narcotic two days earlier, and forgot to re-order AV's pain medication. AV had to be sent tot he emergency room to receive pain medication. The facility re-ordered AV's medication as soon as it was found AV was out, however, AV suffered pain while waiting for his/her pain medication to arrive at the facility. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00648 $500.00 fine assessed
