Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure AV's medication were available and administered as ordered on multiple occasions. From approximately June 1, 2022, to June 30, 2022, AV was not given approximately sixteen doses of two of his/her heart medications, which resulted in AV experiencing repeated unreasonable discomfort and serious risk of harm. The failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-01036 $1500.00 fine assessed
