Findings: On or about June 7, 2022, the Alleged Victim (AV) was found on the floor of his/her apartment. AV suffered two falls that morning, at 6:05 am and again at 6:50 am. AV is care planned to have an alarm on his/her bed and chair. That morning, AV's alarm did not go off for either fall. AV went to bed after the second fall, and when he/she awoke, AV was unable to move his/her right leg. AV was sent out to the hospital, where he/she was diagnosed with a broken right hip. The facility's failure to ensure AV's bed and/or chair alarm was working is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP22-01273 $1500.00 fine assessed
