Findings: According to the documentation, the facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for the Alleged Victim (AV) who receives numerous injectable medications. On or about April 24, 2022, the Alleged Perpetrator (AP2) administered 20 units of the incorrect insulin medication placing the AV at risk for harm. AP2’s failure to provide a safe medication administration system is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility’s failure to provide a safe medication administration system is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00617 $250.00 fine assessed
