Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. AV physically assaulted Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) in his/her room and so AP2 left AV’s room and tried to use a dining room chair to block AV in their room to stop them from hitting AP2. AP2 was not training on how to deal with an assaultive resident. The facility failed to assure a resident was safe by failing to provide appropriate training to AP2, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-00411 $500.00 fine assessed
