Findings: The facility failed to implement interventions and appropriately care plan for Alleged Victim’s (AV) changing dental needs. Documentation indicates AV’s service plan was not updated to include staff reminders or assistance to help AV with his/her oral hygiene. As a result, AV’s teeth have turned brown and one tooth broke off. AV developed severe tooth decay and gum disease. The failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-00265 $500.00 fine assessed
