Findings: The facility failed to provide services according to the Alleged Victim’s (AV) needs, relating to skin monitoring and wound care. The AV was care planned for ongoing monitoring and follow-up on skin issues. On or about May 11, 2022, the facility sent a fax to the doctor’s office to request additional wound care, but there was no follow-up from approximately May 13, 2022, to May 31, 2022. During this time, the AV’s wound worsened, which resulted in AV not receiving timely medical treatment and experiencing unreasonable discomfort. The failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP22-01673 $250.00 fine assessed
