Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. AV’s physician ordered a pain patch on or about July 12, 2022, Facility received the medication from the pharmacy on or about July 14, 2022, however medication was not administered to AV until on or about July 25, 2022, due to facility internal procedure. AV reported to be in pain as a result of not receiving the pain medication. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00913 $500.00 fine assessed
