Findings: Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) failed to administer Alleged Victim's (AV) medication as ordered. AP2's actions is considered neglect of care which constitutes abuse. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system by keeping AV's discontinued medication stored in the facility's medication cart. Based on documentation, facility policy for medication destruction was not followed resulting in AV's unused medications being left in the medication cart more than five days after medications were discontinued. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
