Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) missed approximately four (4) doses of his/her scheduled pain medication between approximately August 9, 2022 and August 11, 2022, which led to AV exhibiting multiple withdrawal symptoms, unnecessary discomfort, and to be transported to the hospital for treatment. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure AV’s physician orders were followed and medications were reordered timely. The failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00268 $1125.00 fine assessed
