Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) has a history of wandering around the facility, wandering into other resident rooms, touching other resident’s belongings and resident to resident altercations as a result. On or about August 22, 2022, AV wandered into Witness 2 (W2) room and a verbal altercation started, between Witness 1 (W1), (W2) and AV. The situation escalated between the residents and resulted in scratches to AV face, chin, and forehead. The facility failed to properly plan care and provided interventions appropriate to mitigate AV wandering into other resident’s rooms, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-00104 $375.00 fine assessed
