Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure the AV’s medication was administered as ordered. It was discovered that AV missed two dosages of h/h insulin in the month of August 2022, due to it being out. It was also discovered that AV was out of h/h vitamin, however the medication was signed for when it was out of the facility per chart notes. The facility’s failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00045 $500.00 fine assessed
