Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) has a history of falls and wandering. Facility has a protocol for the courtyard door to be locked when the outside temperature is above 90 degrees. On or about August 29, 2022, the temperature outside was above 90 degrees and the door to the courtyard was propped open. AV was found in the courtyard on the ground. AV was weak and unable to stand or walk. Facility failed to provide a safe environment for AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP22-01817 $500.00 fine assessed
