Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for h/h care. On or about September 3, 2022 it was discovered that the facility had ran out of the AV’s diabetic medication. The AV missed at least 3 doses while waiting for the medication to arrive from the pharmacy. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure AV medications were ordered and administered per physician orders which placed AV at risk of harm. The failure is a violation of resident’s rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-01067 $500.00 fine assessed
