Findings: The facility failed to intervene when the Alleged Victim ‘s (AV) condition changed. On or about August 23, 2022, AV was admitted into the facility and was independent with toileting and was able to ambulate with the use of an assistive device. According to documentation AV began to decline, refuse care and was no longer able to meet h/h own care needs. AV was admitted into the hospital on or about September 08, 2022, diagnosed with Stage one pressure sores on h/h right bilateral posterior lower leg, two pressure sores on h/h left bilateral posterior lower leg, stage one pressure sore on h/h coccyx, redness to both of h/h heels, a rash to left groin, and pain in h/h feet. The facilities failure to assess, assist and care plan in accordance with AVs capabilities and needs is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-00153 $500.00 fine assessed
