Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure the Alleged Victim (AV)’s medications were administered as ordered. It was discovered that AV had not been administered h/h diabetes and cholesterol medication as the facility ran out of the medication. AV reports feeling “terrible” when s/he did not receive prescribed medication. The facility’s failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-00254 $500.00 fine assessed
