Findings: The facility failed to administer medication as ordered for the Alleged Victim’s (AV). AV’s physician ordered an antibiotic to treat a possible urinary tract infection. According to documentation H/S did not get the medication for approximately three days after it was ordered. The failure resulted in AV experiencing pain and unreasonable discomfort. The failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The allegation that the Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) failed to administer medication as ordered was investigated and the determination was not substantiated.
