Findings: According to an investigation, on or about October 16, 2022, the Alleged Victim (AV) had to request his/her PRN pain medication from multiple staff, due to the communication system not working properly. AV did not receive his/her PRN pain medication for approximately an hour, which caused AV to get upset and start yelling. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00600 $500.00 fine assessed
