Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) has history of high anxiety around facility staff not responding to call light and has a behavior support plan in place. If staff unable to answer the call button immediately set a time for their return. The facility expectation is for staff to respond in fifteen (15) minutes to a resident call light. On or about November 28, 2022, AV pushed h/h call light for assistance with incontinence care and waited approximately one (1) hour and five (5) minutes, causing unreasonable discomfort. The facility failed to answer call light in a timely manner, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-01007 $250.00 fine assessed
