Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care and oversight. On or about January 20, 2023, AV approached Witness 2 (W2) while Witness 1 (W1) was standing next to W2. AV reached out and grabbed W2’s chest which triggered W1 to hit AV with their cane. The facility failed to provide a safe environment for AV by not providing oversight to assure AV’s safety, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-00217 $500.00 fine assessed
