Findings: Alleged Victim’s (AV’s) March 14, 2023, Service Plan stated: Staff are to store, order and dispense all of AV’s medications. Between March 14, 2023, through March 29, 2023, the facility failed to administer AV’s prescribed medications. As a result, AV suffered pain and narcotic withdrawal symptoms, including tremors, cold sweats, stomach cramps, rapid heart rate and profuse vomiting. AV went through withdrawals for eight (8) days. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP24-00704 $1500.00 fine assessed
