Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medication. On or about April 13, 2023, during the evening medication call, Witness 2 (W2) gave AV the wrong medication. As a result, AV was tired and weak due to the wrong medication being administer putting AV in risk of harm. W2 claimed to never have been trained to be a medication tech. Medication training records were requested several times, and those documents were never provided. As a result, for the lack of training, the facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00615 $500.00 fine assessed
