Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to manage and administer his/her medications. AV has medical diagnosis that requires AV to be administered pain medication daily. On or about July 3, 2023, it was discovered that AV no longer had any more tablets of his/her pain medication #1. As a result, AV missed a total of eight (8) doses of his/her pain medication #1 before a new prescription re-fill was received by the facility resulting in AV reported feeling pain. The facility failed provide a safe medication administration system for AV’s medication #1, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP24-00069 $1000.00 fine assessed
