Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to manage and administer his/her pain medications. AV has a medical diagnosis that require AV to be administered pain medication #2. On or about July 3, 2023, it was discovered that AV’s pain medication #2 was low and AV would be going without his/hers required doses. As a result, AV missed a total of two (2) doses of his/her pain medication #2. As a result of the missed pain medication, AV experience pain in his/her low back and legs. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for medication #2, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP24-00069 $1000.00 fine assessed
