Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) was care planned to be re-positioned multiple times per day, due to AV having a pressure sore on his/her knee, which developed from having his/her knee against the wall while in bed. AV's knee was bloody and blood had dried on the wall, sticking AV's knee to the wall. The facility failed to follow AV"s care plan to turn AV multiple times per day, to ensure AV's knee was not against the wall, causing worsening of the pressure sore on his/her knee. The facility's' failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-01266 $1500.00 fine assessed
