Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure The Alleged Victim’s (AV) medications were administered as ordered. Based on facility documentation and interviews, AV did not receive his/her blood pressure medication as ordered from June 24, 2023 through July 17, 2023. As a result of AV not getting his/her prescribed blood pressure medication, AV's blood pressure increased to an unhealthy range and AV was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with having a stroke. The facility's failure resulted in unreasonable discomfort and hospitalization, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
