Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. Witness #1’s (W1) has a history of resident-to-resident altercations because W1 does not like people of the opposite sex in h/h room. A stop sign was placed on W1's door and an ISP initiated for staff to redirect other residents from going into W1's room. On or about July 21, 2023, staff escorted and left AV into W1's room to watch TV with W1's roommate. W1 found AV in h/h room, became upset, and as a result W1 dragged AV across the floor into the hallway causing AV to have rug burns. The facility failed to provide a safe environment and follow W1 care plan, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-01412 $500.00 fine assessed
