Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is a resident and under the care of the facility. On about February 1, 2023, Alleged Victim (AV) suffered from gastrointestinal issues, which caused AV to have an upset stomach and diarrhea. At time of incident, COVID and Norovirus were present in the facility and staff were unclear regarding COVID and Norovirus infection prevention protocols. As result, AV did not receive appropriate care assistance for toileting, which resulted in AV sitting in his/her own feces and urine for 3.5 to 4 hours, which caused AV unreasonable discomfort and loss of personal dignity. The facility's failure to follow AV's care plan is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care, which constitutes abuse. Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) allegedly neglected AV. An investigation determined no abuse occurred by AP2.
