Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. AV has narcotic pain medication which was not reordered timely. The facility often fails to order AV’s medication timely and relies on AV’s support persons to acquire prescribed medications urgently. The facility has run out of AV’s medications on or about December 12, 2022, March 1st, May 17th, July 5th, and September 9th, 2023. As a result, AV has missed approximately eight (8) of his/her narcotic pain medications, leading AV to suffered from withdrawal symptoms, including but limited to chills, tremors, anxiety, hallucinations, agitation, confusion, impulsivity, and combativeness. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
