Findings: According to the documentation, the facility failed to provide wound care for the Alleged Victim’s (AV) wounds on their hip. On or about November 02, 2023, it was noticed by facility staff the AV’s wound care bandages had not been changed in approximately a week. As a result of not changing the bandages timely, the AV experienced redness to the wound area and cellulitis. The AV was transported to the hospital for treatment of their wounds, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-01079 $450.00 fine assessed
