Findings: On or about November 27, 2023, the Alleged Victim (AV) pressed his/her call light for assistance with toileting. AV suffered unreasonable discomfort due to not receiving assistance in a timely manner. The facility's call light system has not been working properly for some time. Staff also were not sure about AV's care needs, as they were not clearly defined in AV's care plan. The facility's failure to ensure clear care planning and ensuring the facility call system was in working order is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-00318 $500.00 fine assessed
