Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to manage his/her medications. According to the investigation, on or about November 20, 2023, the facility did not follow orders to obtain daily weights and administer medications as needed. AV experienced leg swelling and trouble breathing as a result of not receiving the medication. The facility failed to administer AV’s medication as ordered, which is a violation of resident’s rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-00710 $500.00 fine assessed
