Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for assistance with eating and drinking and medication administration. According to an investigation, on or about 12/04/2023 AV was sent to the hospital and was diagnosed with dehydration. The facility has also been providing AV with a laxative, when the order stated to hold if AV has loose stools. AV was having diarrhea, but the laxatives were still being given to AV. The facility failed to provide basic care by not assisting AV with eating and drinking and failed to provide proper medication administration by not following the physician's orders for the laxative. This is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect which constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP25-01301 $250.00 fine assessed
