Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care and to administer his/her medications. According to an investigation, on or about December 2, 2023, AV did not receive multiple medications as ordered including medications for cholesterol, to prevent stroke and heart attack. A review of the AV's medication administration records showed AV did not receive medications as ordered on multiple occasions during the months of November and December 2023, and January 2024, resulting in going to the hospital for evaluation for swelling on December 24, 2023, and risk of serious harm. The facility failed to administer medication as ordered, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
