Findings: On or about October 23, 2023, Alleged Victim (AV) was having a phone appointment with medical professionals and showed signs of having slurred speech. The medical professionals asked AV to press his/her call pendant during the phone appointment to get help because the medical professionals were concerned for AV's well-being. However, the facility staff did not respond. The medical professionals on AV's phone appointment called 911 and AV was taken to the hospital for treatment. Based on facility documentation, the facility failed to answer AV's call pendant in a timely manner several times. The facility's failure to respond to AV's call light quick enough to meet resident's needs caused AV unreasonable discomfort, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
