Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about January 25, 2024, AV told facility staff that AV’s bedroom door was open and $80.00 had gone missing from AV’s wallet when AV woke up that morning. AV’s typically keeps AV’s wallet in AV’s pants pocket which is folded and placed on AV’s bed or nearby a chair during the night. There have been several reported thefts by other residents of the facility. It is believed and unknown Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) is suspected of being associated with theft from AV. AP2 failed to protect AV from financial exploitation, which neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to protect AV from financial exploitation, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
