Findings: On or about January 25, 2024, the Alleged Victim (AV) was short of breath and needing his/her inhaler and staff could not find it. AV's inhaler was received at the facility and checked in by Alleged Perpetrator #2, however, it is unknown where the inhalers went. The intake process for the medications did not have a multi-person check for the medications and inventory was not completed by the Registered Nurse. AV did not have his/her inhaler when necessary, which placed AV at risk for harm. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-00587 $250.00 fine assessed
