Findings: On or about February 9, 2024, Alleged Victim (AV) reported that their Samsung Tablet valued at $349.99 was missing from their room. The facility conducted a search of AV's room, trash and the dumpster and were unable to locate the missing tablet. The facility failed to have available lock boxes or way for AV to secure valuables, resulting in AV tablet being taken by unknown Alleged Perpetrator #2 (AP2). The facility has since installed lock boxes for every resident. The item taken by an unknown AP2 is responsible for theft of property, which is considered financial exploitation and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to protect AV from financial exploitation which is a violation of Oregon Administrative Rules.
