Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) resided at the facility and had personal property in AV’s apartment while AV was out of the facility. According to an investigation, on or about January 25, 2024, AV’s personal property was missing from his/her apartment. Staff had access to AV’s apartment while AV was out of the facility and a garbage disposal company was brought in to remove some items from AV's apartment. AV did not provide permission for staff to enter or remove any property. The personal property allegedly removed by the garbage disposal company was authorized by Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) and this person is responsible for the loss of property, which is considered financial exploitation and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to protect the resident’s property from loss, which is a violation of resident rights is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
