Findings: On or about March 11, 2024, facility staff left the door to the laundry room open or unlocked. The Alleged Victim (AV) entered the room and drank bleach. Staff immediately sent AV out to the emergency room, however, AV suffered pain to his/her throat from this incident. The facility's failure to ensure the laundry room door was closed and locked placed AV at risk for serious harm. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-00776 $338.00 fine assessed
