Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) requires full assistance in many activities of daily living and requires the use of the facility call light system to request staff assistance. The facility call light has been non operational for a number of weeks. AV's care plan states that AV is to use the call system to request assistance. Staff are to check on AV approximately every 15 minutes per shift, however, staff have a difficult time meeting that time frame. The facility's failure to ensure a proper call light system is working and available places AV ar risk for serious harm. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP24-00145 $250.00 fine assessed
