Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is prescribed two different strengths of a specific psychotropic medicine. AV Service plan indicates Medication Technician are to order, store and administer all medications for AV. Facility staff are trained to give residents their medications correctly. AV has two medications cards, one card with AM/PM doses (1/2 tab) and one card for a Noon dose (full tab). AV is supposed to take a full dose (1 tab) of the psychotropic medication at Noon every day, and for 10 days from March 12, 2024 through March 21, 2024, staff were administering AV the AM/PM 1/2 dose (0.5 tab) at Noon. Multiple staff failed to read medication labels and compare the dosages on AV's psychotropic medication cards. AV as a result had increased behaviors March 13, 2024 through March 20, 2024.The facility failed to administer medication as ordered, which is a violation of resident rights is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
