Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure Alleged Victim’s (AV) high blood pressure medication was administered as ordered from March 1, 2024, through March 16, 2024. Based on facility documentation and interviews, the facility failed to have AV's blood pressure medication available, causing AV to go without his/her medication for 16 days placing AV at risk for syncope episodes and cognitive changes. The facility's failure resulted in AV experiencing pain and unreasonable discomfort, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility allegedly neglected AV. An investigation inconclusively determined no abuse occurred by AP2.
