Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is service planned as extensive assist with dining/eating and as having a food allergy to peanuts. On or about May 15, 2024, AV was given a peanut butter cookie as an after dinner snack. AV ingested the peanut butter cookie and shortly after experienced high blood pressure. AV reported feeling weird and having slight trouble breathing. The facility failed to follow the care plan which is a violation of resident’s rights is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-01170 $1500.00 fine assessed
