Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is cared plan to receive a PRN narcotics medication. The narcotic stored in AV’s room and AV is able to self-administer the medication. Facility staff were alerted that a staff member may have been diverting medication. Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) was called into the facility administration office and admitted to taking a few drops of AV’s narcotic medication. AP2 failed to provide a safe medication system for AV, which is neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to assure AV received a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of Oregon Administration Rules.
